Prove-it Prayers

When I was almost a believer, I started praying prove-it prayers to see if God was real. Could he see me? Could he hear me? Did he care about my circumstances? And did he have the power to intervene?

I recently shared the whole story as a guest blog on Marnie Hammer’s series Hear Him Louder. Click the link below to read it. I hope it encourages you that the answer to all the questions above is an unbounded YES!

The Lord is near to all who call on him,

to all who call on him in truth.

Here is still one more blog that captured me from the beginning. I absolutely love to read each and every one of your blogs.

I also love the picture of yourself that you use. It is perfect because you are wearing your favorite color, the Zebra plant makes the photo exceptional, and then, of course, the picture of you looks like a photographer took it.

    Hi Ann

This morning I feeling overwhelmed and at a cross-road. I text a friend that I want to be like a Abraham a person who walked by faith, but feel like a Gideon wanting God to prove himself to me. I felt bowed down by it all. As I was going through my email just now, I saw your post and the heading, God doesn’t have to prove himself, but sometimes we need him to” captured my attention.
Thanks for the reminder that God will meet us where we are and we don’t need to be like anyone else . We can be who we are. Thanks for sharing. Your story matters.
